Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 60
Boy Scouts in Troop 60 is a boy led troop. We go on a camp-out or another Troop activity every month of the year. Every summer we attend a week-long summer camp, Hidden Valley, located at Griswold Scout Reservation in Gilmanton Ironworks, NH. While there we enjoy swimming, fishing, archery, shooting, nature study, boating, and plenty of good outdoor living. Older Scouts have the opportunity to go on various high adventure trips, such as canoeing on the Allagash River in Maine, or canoeing the Boundary Waters in Canada, or back packing at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Scouts have also traveled to Sea Base in the Florida Keys. Troop 60 is sponsored by the Sudbury United Methodist Church, where we meet every Tuesday night from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM. We are part of the Boy Scouts of America, Liberty District of the Knox Trail Council. Feel free to browse our site and learn more about the Troop. Troop 60 Feature Philmont is the premier BSA high adventure camp located in Cimarron, New Mexico. There are a variety of treks that scouts can choose for the adventure of a lifetime!
